Saint Ann School Families, now that flu and cold season is well underway, I thought I would take this opportunity to remind parents of Saint Ann School's illness policy as stated in the Parent-Student Handbook. "If your child is visibly ill, has a fever, a communicable illness, or other serious health concerns, your child should be kept home. We adhere to the following rules: a child must be fever-free for 24 hours; if your child is being treated for an infection, your child should be on antibiotics for 24 hours before returning to school; a child should not have vomited nor had diarrhea for 24 hours before returning to school. This illness policy is strictly followed for the health and well-being of all children. If you send your child to school with a fever or with vomiting or diarrhea, you will be required to pick your child up from school immediately..." Please refer to the Parent-Student Handbook on the school website for more detailed information on our Nursing Services (beginning on page 33) which includes our Illness and Medication Policies. Sharon Scipio, the school nurse may be reached at 609-882-8077, ext. 212 if you need to report an absence or if you have any questions. Please feel free to reach out to me with any concerns on this school policy. God bless! Mr. Chiaravalloti
