On Saturday, Ms. Shields (Social Studies Teacher) and Mrs. Daniel (Science Teacher) traveled to the Poricy Brook Fossil Beds in Middleton, NJ to search for fossils from the Cretaceous Period. They used garden trowels to pick up sand from the stream bed and sifted through the mixture for fossils. This was their test-run as a potential field trip idea for middle school students.
