This will be my 8th year teaching at Saint Ann school and my 6th year being an 8th grade homeroom teacher. This year, I will be teaching American History to 5th, 7th, and 8th grades and World Civilizations to 6th grade.
Before I became a teacher, I received my undergraduate degree in American History at the College of Charleston, Charleston, South Carolina (2008). From there I decided to pursue my Master's Degree in Irish Women's History at Queen's University Belfast, Belfast, Northern Ireland (2009). During my four years in Ireland, I traveled extensively through the United Kingdom and Europe. After returning from abroad, I went on to receive my teaching certification through NJCU and NPTNJ. I have a passion for bringing history and social studies to life, making the classroom fun and engaging for all students. Furthermore in my spare time I enjoy hiking, contemporary embroidery, traveling, indoor planting and DIY projects.
"If we understand a good deal more about History, we automatically understand a great more about contemporary life."- Toni Morrison
