STREAM (Science, Technology, Religion, Engineering, Art, and Math) Academy
STREAM Academy is a collection of after-school clubs that specializes in Science and Technology. It is a Catholic education initiative designed to elevate the curriculum at Catholic elementary schools. STREAM takes the principles of STEM and infuses religion across all subject areas, and it provides our students with the creative thinking necessary to communicate and apply STEM skills to the real world.

Trout Team
Interested in all things trout? Do you want to be in charge of making sure the water quality in our fish tank is optimal for our trout? Join the Trout Team! This club is open to two students per grade from 5th to 8th with a maximum of 12 students on the team. Students must attend monthly meetings after school and be able to commit to at least one lunch/recess meeting per month if needed. Meetings will be held on Fridays, 2:30-3:30 pm. Green Thumb Club
Do you love gardening? Or just love the idea of eating the "fruits" of your labor? Join the Green Thumb Club and help take care of our school garden. Members will be able to take home herbs and tomatoes that are grown in the garden as they begin to grow in the spring and summer. Flyers with details coming soon. Art Club
Art Club is the perfect club for students interested in pursuing their creative side! Drawing, painting, sculpture, 2D, 3D- the options are endless for what students will create! Each month there will be a new fun theme! Art Club membership is a month by month membership. Permission slips will go out before each month to sign up again if students are interested. The club meets every Wednesday, 2:30-3:30 pm. Students will wait in the cafeteria for Ms. Liepins to walk them over to the FDC after school. Snacks will be provided.

Music Club
Our Music Club offers an opportunity for students to participate in two ensembles: "Experience Choirchime Ringing" club - open to grades 4, 5 and 6 - This club is open to students who are in good standing with general/vocal music. While attending this club, students will have the opportunity to experience playing the Malmark TM Choir chimes and train for our premiere ensemble "Ringing & Singing".
"Ringing & Singing" club - open to grades 5th through 8th - Students participating in this club play from a challenging repertoire of Handbell/ Handchime literature. Vocal training is also included, as the ensemble often self-accompanies choral presentation in group and processions. This club often performs at the opening of our school Open Houses and at the school Christmas Pageant.
The clubs are held by our music teacher, Mrs. Moya and meet at the Faith Development Center once a week right after school from September to December, in preparation for the school Christmas Pageant. Each club also meets in the Spring for a 10-week session.

Students attending gather in the school gymnasium at 2:25 pm for a brief snack before heading over to the FDC.

Spanish Club
SAS's first Spanish Culture club for students 4th-8th grade is here! In Mrs. Laccetti's Spanish Culture Club students will be learning how to interact in Spanish in different social settings. The club will meet every Tuesday beginning Jan. 21st at 2:30 pm in SAS Spanish Room. Over the course of 6 weeks, students will come together at SAS and participate in fun & engaging activities related to ONE topic. The first session will center around “Going out to a Restaurant” and on one of the meetings students accompanied by Mrs. Laccetti will be going out a Spanish restaurant where they will order their own food and will interact with the restaurant staff in Spanish! The cost of the club is $50 & includes copies of the vocabulary booklet, their last class meal at a Hispanic food restaurant, and class snacks.

Drama Club
The drama club is open to students in 2nd through 8th grade. It provides an opportunity to learn about theater, perform on stage, and work behind the scenes.

Library Service Club
The LSS (Library Secret Service club) is a club composed of students helping in the betterment of our school library and desiring to give back to the extended Saint Ann's community. The club is open to students in grades 6, 7 & 8 and will meet every Tuesday morning from 7:30 am to 8 am in the SAS Library located at the Faith Development Center. Community Service Volunteer Hours will be awarded to students attending this club after completing 15 meeting sessions. Newspaper Club
The Blue & Gold Gazette is overseen by parent monitors and managed by students in grades 4th through 8th. All articles are written by students and the 8th-grade editors work on the newspaper's layout. This after-school club meets approximately twice a month throughout the school year.
Readers-r-Leaders Book Club
The Readers-r-Leaders Book Club is open to students grades 3 through 8 and meets every Tuesday from 2:30 pm to 3:45 pm. The second session of this club will run from 02/04/20 to 03/10/20. Students will be reading an assigned chapter of the book "The Million Dollar Put" by Dan Gutman each week and participate in fun & engaging activities related to the book. Saint Ann School Choir
Saint Ann School Choir is a school-year-round club that meets on Wednesdays from 2:30 pm to 3:45 pm. The Choir is a service club that provides leadership for singing at school Masses and some other events held at the school., such as the Christmas Pageant, Diocesan events, and the Spring concert. The Youth Choir is open to Saint Ann School students in grades 4th through 8th. A desire to sing and a willingness to use God-given talents to serve and praise the Lord are the only prerequisites. Junior Legion of Mary
The Junior Legion of Mary is open to Saint Ann students from 3rd to 8th grade. Some of the works performed by the Legion of Mary include teaching prayers to younger children, circulating the statue of the Pilgrim Virgin Statue to the various classrooms, distributing Christmas cards to local nursing homes and Get Well cards to the sick, serving at Holy Mass, helping at school or in the church, and many other selfless and charitable acts. Legion members meet weekly and junior meetings are an hour long and consist of prayers, Scriptures reading, and reports of the work done. Chess Club
New to Saint Ann School this year, the Chess Club is for students in grades 4 through 8 who have a basic knowledge of chess and would like to have fun playing the game with their peers. The club moderator is Miss Elizabeth Meagher. The club meets on Monday, 2:30-3:45 PM, in the months of October, November, January, February, March, & April. There is no strict attendance policy but kindly notify Miss Meagher before dismissal the day that you will not be able to attend.

Student Council
Student Council is open to students in 6, 7, & 8 grade. Its mission is to create the strongest, most involved and active school community. It works to enhance student life, build school spirit and pride, strengthen the overall school, and contribute to charitable causes in the community. Students are selected to be part of the Student Council by their own peers through elections. Once elected, representatives from 6 to 8 grade take leadership of the student body and work to represent their concerns and opinion to school faculty and administration.

Student Ambassadors
Student Ambassadors is a leadership opportunity for students in 8th grade who are dedicated to serving and representing Saint Ann School during school events. Student Ambassadors are required to assist during Open House tours, serve as SAS representative and perform duties during various SAS events.
