Dear parents & students,
My name is John R. Poirier. I am the 7th grade homeroom teacher and the middle school Social Studies teacher for grades 5th-8th.
I have a Bachelor's Degree in History and Political Science from Marquette University; I attended Rutgers School of Law, where I graduated with a Juris Doctorate Degree in Law, and Rider University, where I became a Certified Social Studies Teacher for grades 6-12.
I have been teaching for 8 years and this is my second year at Saint Ann School. I am very excited and grateful to be part of the SAS family! After practicing law for several years, I taught Middle School and High School Social Studies in the public school system until I realized that Catholic Education was my calling.
I am married to my lovely wife, Chinny, and enjoy watching Korean Dramas. I also enjoy anime and am an amateur game designer. My favorite vacation destination is the City of Quebec. My hobbies include gaming, game design, and science fiction.
