Hola St. Ann's Families,
My name is Kristin Santizo and I am happy to be part of the SAS Faculty team this year as a Spanish teacher for grades K-8. With the exception of subbing, this will be my first year teaching at Saint Ann School. I am a familiar face for most of our students as I was one of the substitute teachers here at Saint Ann's last academic year.
I love to Travel! I have been to Spain, Italy, France and England. While in high school, I road-tripped for three summers through Italy with my mom and a map. This was before GPS. I also love to visit Guatemala, where my husband is from. I have been there many times. I truly enjoy exploring different National Parks in the US, as well!
I have a Master of Arts and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from Rutgers University. Your child will receive their Spanish lesson in one 40-minute period a week (K-6th) or two 40-minute periods a week (7th-8th). Our Spanish classes are designed to help students speak and express themselves in Spanish from the very beginning. In each lesson, students are presented with new topics, students practice using what they've learned, and participate in culminating activities that facilitate meaningful conversations in Spanish.
Should you have any questions about the class, please let me know. You may reach me at [email protected]
I am looking forward to a great year! I thank you for the opportunity to teach your child!
