Hi! My name is Christine Savela and I am the PTA President. I have three daughters here: Kinley in 5th Grade, Kallie in 3rd, and Kambry in 1st. I want to briefly share with you some information about the PTA, what we do, your role and how you can keep us with us all year. 

The PTA is here to support the mission of our school. We run numerous events and activities to enhance the educational, social and spiritual experience at St. Ann’s. We conduct fundraisers that allow us to fund in whole or in part: assemblies, field trips, clubs, special in school activities like field day and hot chocolate day, after school events like Trunk or Treat, Family Karaoke, and Dances. We provide funds to assist with school initiatives like new water fountains, cafeteria tables, white boards, and more. You can find all of our events for the year on our PTA Year-at-Glance on the PTA page on the school website. 

While the PTA does a lot, we DO NOT set school policies. We don’t have a say in the curriculum, uniform requirements, or scheduling. We encourage you to direct questions or concerns of that nature to Mrs. Laccetti. 

You may be wondering what your role is...well, that is simple:

1. Participate - attend events, volunteer to help out, attend our General PTA meetings. Come and join in the fun and become an active member of our community. You are important to this community and to us. We can not do all that we do without YOU.
2. Each family is required to contribute 25 volunteer hours and $125 in financial commitment - there are LOTS of opportunities to fulfill these. We know there are a plethora of fundraisers, but this is to allow options for everyone. We do not expect you to participate in all of them. 
3. We will communicate via a monthly email update, a weekly text, frequent instagram posts/stories, and via our PTA Page on the website. We also have a new PTA Bulletin Board on the first floor, outside the first classroom on the right. On there you will find flyers for our current events and fundraisers, our contact info, and we will provide a few order forms for people who are unable to print their own. You can have your student grab a form if needed out of the plastic sleeves on the board! You can also find all of our events on the calendar on the PTA Page on the school website. It is a google calendar, so you can sync it with your personal calendars as well.
4. If you have not received our emails or texts that we have been sending, email us at [email protected] or please find a PTA member, so we can get you on the list!
5. Would the members of the PTA Board please stand? These are the people you can reach out to should you have any questions about the PTA. You will often find us wearing maroon PTA shirts and our gray lanyards at events, so we are easy to spot! We will do our best to help!

1. Our mum sale has been extended, so please get your orders in by tomorrow. No orders will be accepted after tomorrow. 
2. We are running our Box Tops, RaiseRight, and Cards for a Cause Fundraisers again this year. You can find more info about them on the PTA Bulletin Board and at our General PTA Meeting.
3. We have Cash Bingo next week! Get some friends and come play or sign-up to volunteer and help us out that night. It’s lots of fun. 
4. The Silent Auction has been set for February 24, 2024. We hope to see you all there as it is really a night of fun!
5. Last, but by no means least, our first General PTA meeting is on Tue, Oct 17th. We encourage all to attend to learn more about what we do, give your input, and meet other school families.
