Read-A-Thon
Our 8th Annual Read-a-Thon is currently underway. You should have received an email from 99Pledges to set up your student’s donation page. This year, instead of recording minutes read online, we are providing a Reading Log sheet. Students should read for at least 20 minutes per day. For each day they read, they can write the number of minutes they read and color the book in for each day they read at least 20 minutes. The Reading Logs should be turned in weekly on Thursdays--first one is due tomorrow! We will be keeping a tally for the minutes each class reads in the cafeteria weekly. The class who reads the most minutes (per capita) will earn a Donut Party! If you need a copy of the weekly log, it is attached below.Find the details here!
Recap:
We had a wonderful Christmas season with a very successful Santa's Workshop, Breakfast with Santa, and HomeFront Christmas Party. St. Nick paid a special visit to the school and the entire school was able to visit the movies together to see The Polar Express. The PTA wants to thank everyone who helped with volunteering for these events and for all of the fundraising you did to make these things possible.

A few notes of things ahead:
1. Please save the date for our Gala/Silent Auction on Saturday March 1st. Formal Invitations will be sent home soon. If you would like to help solicit donations for auction items, please respond to this email.
2. We have decided to change our vendor for our Chocolate Fundraiser this year. We will not be using Gertrude Hawk this year. We will be using World’s Finest Chocolate, which is a slightly different program. More info will come out closer to that time, but we wanted you to know about this change ahead of time.
3. Please plan to attend our General PTA meeting on Wednesday March 19th. We will be hosting our Guest Speaker, Paul Sanfrancesco, and we want to give a good showing. His previous presentations for us have been incredible and we not this one will not disappoint.
