Since so many trout had already jumped over the top of the basket, I figured it was time to release the healthy ones to the tank, and leave the less healthy fish in the basket. Since the healthier fish were beginning to nip at other fish, I wanted to separate them so the less healthy fish have a fighting chance at survival.
