The Department of Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Trenton provides leadership, direction, support, and service to pastors. principals, and school communities as they form students in the Catholic Faith and develop each child’s potential. Our Catholic schools are grounded in Gospel values from the beginning to the end of each day. From classrooms to sports arenas, from academic assemblies to service projects, Gospel values are being lived by the entire school community. Each year our students contribute thousands of service hours in support of local, national, and global organizations and causes. Fill the Manger with our Good Deeds! Saint Ann School students are participating in a school-wide Advent project this year. A manger is set up by the front office to be filled with Good Deeds. Every time a student completes a good deed during Advent, they will write them on strips of yellow and white paper and then place them in the manger. The strips of paper with their deeds will be the straw for Jesus' Manger.
Thursday, November 11th, at 8:15 AM SAS students and staff held a special prayer service for Veterans Day in the school gymnasium. After the Pledge of Allegiance and the National Anthem, we honored and mentioned by name all of those Saint Ann’s family members who have served our country, and then continued praying for our troops, past and present. Students were encouraged to bring to school photos of family members both currently serving and veterans, to place on our special bulletin board on the first floor of the school, across from the Kindergarten class. This board stays on display throughout the school year as we continue to pray for all military, and especially our loved ones displayed on the Board. As we celebrate our Veterans today, Saint Ann Schools joins the rest of our Country in thanking all men and women for their service and sacrifice in defending our freedom.
