Hello, my name is Nicole Lestician. I am so very excited to be here at St. Ann's School for my eleventh year! I know it will be another great and, always, memorable one! This will be my fourth year teaching second grade, and, of course, I am so very excited to have the special opportunity in helping to prepare the children for the sacraments of Reconciliation, and First Holy Communion! Four years ago, I taught third grade here for the first time. I have taught first grade for five years here, and am so very blessed to have the amazing opportunity to work with so many amazing families again this year, some of whom I've had the pleasure of working with before, and others, for the first time! Seven years ago, I taught Kindergarten, which I so enjoyed, too! I have twenty-two years of experience in the field of education, and as I mentioned, have taught several different grades.
I attended Rutgers University and have a Bachelor of Arts Degree, and a K - 8 Teaching Certificate. Teaching young children has always been my passion since I was a child, so I am so fortunate to be able to do exactly what I love each day! It is most rewarding to witness the excitement and eagerness of the children when they learn something new! I hope to inspire, encourage, and nurture the academic, spiritual, personal, and physical growth of each of my students. I love working here at Saint Ann School because we are all a big family, always helping each other out. It truly is special to be a part of such a dedicated community watching everyone work together with our mutual faith to guide us along the way. I love that we all know by name the students and can watch them grow from preschool to mature eighth graders. This will be the start of my eleventh year here at SAS.
I first taught fourth grade for twelve years at Lawrence Intermediate School before I took time to be home with my three daughters: Haley, a graduate of Lock Haven University, Hope, a junior at Lawrence High School, and Heather, a freshman at Lawrence High School. My three girls are my greatest gifts who always make me such a super proud mom! All of the children I have taught over the years know that I absolutely love polar bears! My Christmas tree is all decorated with them, especially the Coca-Cola ones. I love Diet Coke, too, so it works out perfectly!
